Psalms 118:24 "This is the day which the LORD hath made: we will rejoice and
be glad in it."
Be honest...is this how you truly view each day? I'm afraid that if you are like me, there
are many days that are grumbled and complained about. How we view the day will be
how we live the day. If we see the day as just another 24 hours of undesirable chores,
drudgery and insurmountable problems, then the day will take us to a defeated and
depressed state. However if we see the day and what it holds, as from our loving Father's
hand, then we will go through those hours in thankfulness and victory. Our state of heart
determines our state of mind.
The Lord made this day for us! As with everything we receive from God's hand, this too
should be offered back to the Lord. Our days should be lived to bring honor and glory to
the Lord God Almighty. You cannot view your day as an offering to the Lord and complain
about it at the same time!
How are you spending your days? Are you able to "rejoice and be glad in it?" God
doesn't give us hard days in order for us to fail and be defeated in them. He gives days
like this so that we can learn to depend on Him for our strength. Every day is a day
that God has made. Determine to rejoice and be glad, no matter what happens.
Psalms 118:28 & 29 "Thou art my God, and I will praise Thee: Thou art my God,
I will exalt Thee. O give thanks unto the LORD: for He is good: for His mercy
endureth for ever."
